The Winemaker’s House

A Delight in Provence

Set in the beautiful countryside of Provence the Winemaker’s House is a perfect holiday stay for wine enthusiasts, walkers, bikers and those wishing to relax and enjoy the many treasures that are to be found in the enchanting department of Vaucluse in Southern France.

The house, at Domaine de Mourchon vineyard in the hills behind the village of Séguret, has five bedrooms accommodating up to ten people, three bathrooms, two kitchens, and a terrace leading on to a garden and vines. The accommodation can be divided for smaller parties of up to six people who would have the use of three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a kitchen. Standing at an altitude of 350 metres the property takes in breathtaking views of the area including Mont Ventoux, which is often used as a stage in the Tour de France cycle race.

There is a real opportunity to understand the magic and mysteries of wine production with tours of the vineyard and tastings of the domaine’s quality wines. Guided visits to other key vineyards can be arranged.

The region offers a variety of sporting activities such as tennis, golf, rock climbing, and hiking. There are also a multitude of sightseeing choices including the Roman ruins and museum at Vaison la Romaine, the magnificent aqueduct at Pont-du-Gard, the Dentelles hills and the Toulourenc river, mediaeval villages, Provençal pottery, many local markets, the Orange Roman Theatre, summer festivals (Baroque music and modern dance) and the world renowned Avignon theatre festival in July.
